The Mountains of Gualsaqui

The mountains of Ecuador are nothing short of breath-taking, and the hearts of the people are just as beautiful. This was the second half of Block 2, where our work looked a bit different from our other sites. We didn't have any buildings to paint or events to host; our only goal was to build relationships. We spent three days with Pastor Luis and his family, talking, praying, cooking, singing, and just getting to know one another. The language still proves to be a challenge for me, but with the support of my team, and the graciousness of the community, I was able to build relationships with my Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters.
